KARACHI: Despite the impact of the Supreme Court suo motu on violence in Karachi in August last year and the subsequent actions required to decide the enforcement of the law provided some relief to the situation of the city of fear, perfect peace a distant dream for the human remains in Karachi, where at least 18 people were victims of targeted killings since September 2011.

The dead in the last four months and the first week of January 2012 were of political and sectarian attacks and called the police were attacked "objective chance to kill." These incidents occurred despite the arrest of suspects involved over 200 men in the past four months. Although the number seems smaller than the number of independent sources provided the data were compiled by the police that 18 people - four in the month of September, October and November, two in December and four in the first seven days of January - been killed since September 2011.

on the large issue nuclear disarmament instead of pushing for a treety to ban
production of fissile materisl used as fuel for atomatis weapones,saying the
treaty was a limited non proliferation goal.speaking in the gernerl assmbalys
main committe,Raza Bashir Tarar,the deputy permanetrepresentive of pakistan,
said besides unclear disarmanent,his contry was ready to start talks on two
other outstanding agnda items negative security assurance of non-nuckear a
weapon state and preventing an arms race in outer space in the conference on
disarmament,the geneva based UN negotiating boDY.After all,the conference on
disarmament is not there to only negotaiting an FMCT,the thametic debat on
nuclear weapons.

MULTAN:Multan electric power company (MEPco)disconted power supply to a number to
department for thier failier to clear the bills.Pakistan railways to Multan cantt,
city stations,colonies and other installations,presons,civil defence,district courts arrigation,livestock,foreastand other departmaents in dark for almost a day.However,MEPCO could not dissconct electicity of Prime Minister residence in Multan,Which is also amonge the choronies defulters.Chief Exctive of MEPCO Guftar Ahmad said that this step has been taken as per decision of federal cabinet,which ordered to disconnect the power supplyof all defaulting departments.People of Multan could
not get drinking water during the last 24 hours because MEPCO cut off Rs 159
connection of Wasa,which is a defaulter of Rs 300 million.Railway employees stage
a demonstration at railway station under the leadership of Malik Bashir Ahmad of
lahore union as a protest against the disconnction of power supply to thier qarters.

Secetary Agriculture Punjab Arif Nadeem told reporters at a brifing reporter on in
here on friday htat government in working for controlling Dangue on permenent basis
and besides strenthinig concerd departments,efficiancey of medical experts and other
staff is also being enhanced and traninig is also being imparted to the medical staff.
He hoped that comprehensive planning and the and the steps of vector control on
permenent basis.the dangue will not become an epidemic disease in the next season.
Replying to a question,Arif said that mega cell seprators machine have been provvided
to the southern districts of the punjab and besides more suh machines,effective steps
will also be taken for dengue control as district level.

shiekh Rashid has alleged masive coruption in pakistan railways and annaounced
to hoid protest across the contry  to press the govenment for therestoration

At present tere is dispute over commissions enginies and tussle is going on
between Minister and chairman of railways.He said on efforts are being made to
streamline the affiairs of railways and passengers are facking manifold problems.
He demanded inclusion of the names of corrupt PIA and railways officials  on
Exitcontrol list (ECL).He said no efforts being made to sreamline the affiars
of affairs in the orgnization.To a question,Shiekh Rashid said he is stunch
supporter of unifiction of all fictions of Muslim league but Main Nawaz Sharif
is not paying heed going in loss.

2011)under monthly fuel adjustment fourmul.Reduction in hydel generation
and increase in power generation .based on furance oil diesel and gas
besides infficiant public sector power plants are the main reasons of themassiye increase in load shedding one month.said one of the official who attende the public hearing on friday.Discose has requested a raise of Rs 3.04per unit on the plea of making good the loss due to high cost of france oil used for generation of electricity.The approve increase will be collected  from consumers in nexts months bill.When concted Nepra spokesman Safeer Hussian confirmed the generation mix was distributed in August before of late rains.
